DataSVP!

Make the value of data sharing tangible

Data sharing has enormous potential. But too often, its actual value remains obscured by technology, standards and infrastructure. Our Data Sharing Valorisation & Velocity Programme (Data SVP!) was created to help make this value of data sharing explicit: for users, for (new) partners, for investors, and for society. Instead of asking only “can we build it?”, we help answer the more urgent question: why would people and organisations want to use it, join it, or invest in it?

Data SVP! thus starts from a different angle. We put the end user, societal value and practical adoption at the centre. That means sharpening the story, testing assumptions, identifying where the real value lies, and translating that into something others can recognise, experience, support and act on.

Why Data SVP!?
Too many initiatives still tell a technical story, while their real value remains abstract. That makes it harder to attract users, partners, and potential investments, while limiting impact.

Data SVP! starts from a different place: real-world value, adoption, and impact. We help initiatives sharpen their value proposition, test it in practice, and translate it into a story that resonates; not just with policymakers or experts, but with the people and organisations who actually benefit from it.

Data SVP! acknowledges that service providers are just as essential for progressing the domain as data sharing initiatives themselves. That is why we facilitate value creation from both perspectives in our offering.

Two tracks
The “V” in Data SVP! represents two distinct tracks aimed to elicit value: Velocity and Valorisation

Velocity

For initiatives in development, Velocity creates movement. We help you clarify and validate your value proposition, identify where to accelerate, and move faster with the right tools, expertise and connections. We invite service providers to work along with us to materialise this.

Think: hassle-free interoperability agreements via our MAMI tool, faster learning in our working communities, and an incubator test bed to trial ideas without complicated governance structures.

Valorisation

For initiatives ready to grow, Valorisation turns promise into traction. We help you make your value visible, attract partners and users, and build toward sustainable scale beyond pilots and subsidies.

Think: stronger positioning, clearer benefits, and compelling testimonials from those who actually benefit from sharing data.

From use case to show case
Data SVP! is practical by design. We support initiatives through focused trajectories that start with an intake and strategic scan of your context and ambition, followed by a time-boxed use case approach aimed at acceleration and/or value creation, e.g. via ask-the-expert sessions, solution pressure cookers and value proposition workshops. Participants receive not just reflection, but concrete advice on where to move next, what to prioritise, and how to increase the chance of uptake and impact. Sharing of lessons learnt and impact stories are always part of the process.

Based on the situation at hand, participants contribute in-kind, via active involvement during the process and co-creation, or with a fitting fee.

The programme is already building experience through several trailblazer cases, including initiatives and service providers that joined the earlier Impact Challenge at the Data Sharing Festival : Health-RI; Hyperion / Innotractor; Triply; Edu-V and the EU project INSIEME. Keep an eye on this page for their stories.
