Use Cases

The Centre of Excellence for Data Sharing and Cloud (CoE-DSC) works on several (cross-sectoral) use cases of data sharing. In these use cases, organisations (from different domains) collaboratively define and realise a use case that creates new value by sharing data. Besides new value creation, the use cases provide the CoE-DSC with real-life insights in what is required to achieve interoperability between different organisations, domains and/or data sharing initiatives. Based on our experience with developing different use cases, the CoE-DSC can help you tackle the common problems in use case development and to realise your data sharing use case.

Our participant Linksight collaborates with DSW, the municipality of Delft and elderly care organisation Pieter van Foreest and uses Multi-party Computation to generate insights without sharing the data itself, which helps to monitor and improve elderly care.
A model has been developed that can automatically assign an ICD-10 code to half of the records as accurately as human coders can. For the remainder, the coder is given suggestions, simplifying the coding work and further training the model.
There are methods and techniques available whereby the data owner can share data and retains control over the data by means of authorisation agreements. Here, we elaborate on the proof of concept in healthcare.
There’s a huge amount of data in healthcare systems, but it is not always structured. Getting that data properly available will make it easier for care organisations to discover trends. In addition, AI can help to improve care.
