The energy transition can proceed more effectively and efficiently with new knowledge about sharing data, with a central role for the availability, quality and privacy of the data. 

NWO invites public-private consortia to collaborate on the knowledge needed to provide answers to challenges such as a growing peak electricity demand and congestion on the electricity grid.

This ‘Call for proposals’ is part of the NWO programming for the Knowledge and Innovation Covenant (Kennis -en Innovatie Convenant (KIC)) 2024-2027 for the mission-driven innovation policy of the Dutch government. NWO develops innovation programmes in the KIC focused on the societal challenges of the Netherlands in order to realise impact for the economy, people and society. The emphasis is on collaboration between knowledge institutions, private parties and government. The results thus contribute to the realisation of economic opportunities. It is therefore essential that companies invest in research projects.
