Topsector ICT, together with Topsector Life Science & Health, announces a matchmaking event for a call in the field of Cybersecurity, theme “Safe sensors in the home and hospital environment”. The budget for this call is 2 million euros, with a maximum of 500,000 euros in subsidies per proposal. This call is relevant for professional groups/knowledge institutions and companies that work in the field of sensors/sensorics, cybersecurity, medical technology, (intramural/home) care and home automation.

This call focuses not only on the sensors themselves, but also on the data connections with other parties in the chain, and the systems that process the data. The common thread in this call is: how do you make sensors inherently safe? The focus here is on both the hardware and the software as well as on the context and the ecosystem (networks, data and the rest of the stack).

The subthemes within this call are in short:

  • Authenticity & integrity of data
  • Secure communication between sensor and platform, including digital signing and verification of data sources
  • Protection against spoofing
  • Research into AI systems for “anomaly detection” in sensor environments
  • Safety in the home situation
  • Solutions for secure connections between care systems and building management systems/home automation, including (self-healing) updates (over-the-air)
  • Smarter intrusion detection
  • Research into AI systems for monitoring system behavior and monitoring within integrated/connected care and building management systems/home automation.

Matchmaking event during TEKNOWLOGY Event on June 19, 2025

On Thursday afternoon, June 19, 2025, Top Sector ICT will organize a matchmaking event in DeFabrique in Utrecht during the NWO Teknowlogy Festival. After the matchmaking event, it will be assessed whether there is sufficient interest for this call.
