On the 30th of May, the Online Trust Coalition (OTC) organises an online webinar called “Is Europe going to certify cloud services? The latest on EUCS”.
Chairman Kees Verhoeven will open the webinar. Then, Tom Vreeburg will discuss the background and origins of European Cybersecurity Certification Scheme for Cloud Services (EUCS). Attention will be paid to the EU Cybersecurity Act, the development of the scheme and the Online Trust Coalition’s vision on how certification can be used to increase trust in cloud services. Finally, Ruud Kerssens will provide an update on the status and content of the EUCS that is now in progress.
The EUCS is in an important phase and moving toward completion. Certification plays an important role in the domain of regulations and is a standard element in the European Commission’s toolbox. Organisations should follow these developments and consider how to prepare for and use them.
